I am pleased to publicise the launch of a brand new blog www.pledgeforcharity.org which a communication blog for fundraisers of all types.
The following is a few excerpts from the homepage introduction, for more information check out the above link. There are hundreds of thousands of charity and independent fundraisers in the United Kingdom........do an amazing job raising not just money but also awareness of those that may need help. But how often do these individuals come together? How often do they share their experiences and offer guidance, support and ideas? Sadly, the truthful answer is, '...they don't!'. PledgeForCharity.org is set to change all of that.....e are not allied with a particular charity, we are not a charity ourselves. We do not take, make or host a donation system. So, what are we about and what can we offer you? ..... a Social Networking environment built specifically for charity and independent fundraisers. A friendly environment where fellow fundraisers can communicate ......, collaborate o............ share ideas and experiences with each other (all in a secure site envrionment if required). This site has only just been launched a couple of days ago so the online community is still only very small, however, there are signs that this will very shortly be changed and there are plans to increase their range of services in the very near future, get on board now and not only help yourself, but also others, we can all learn from each other, especially as fundraising is now so very important during the current economic climate when many traditional funding sources are now being withdrawn. We at www.towntwinning.org.uk strongly recommend joining PledgeforCharity and are happy to endorse them. It is YOU that makes the difference in what you do as a fundraiser. At PledgeForCharity you make your own community. Become a member of PledgeForCharity.org and let your community speak to you. Alan -------------------- Alan (Admin)
