Whilst not strictly a "Town"twinning matter, this could lead to a personal twinning relationship.

We have received the following request for a house sitting exchange between France and the UK:--

I am an English teacher in France, I actually teach both English and French in a high school, and I’ve been teaching for 20 years now.

We, happy and lazy French teachers (!) have two month holiday each summer…

I am currently looking for house-sitting in UK, preferably near London, or anywhere else if not. Unhappily, I have been unfortunate up

to now in my search.

I and my husband would be delighted if you could be of some help for us in that way. We would be available from July 15th to the end of August 2008.

As we live in a house in the suburbs of Pau, in the South West of France, mowing the lawn, watering plants and taking care of pets-except snakes though it’s fashionable today!-house care is for us child’s play and we simply and definitely love it. Moreover we are both in our forties, so we are still valid as well as reliable! My daughter Lucie is 15, she has been studying English for 4 years now, my son William is 13 and he

is a beginner, he is doing pretty well. I personally badly need to brush up my English,

I confess and can’t deny it! We are keen on meeting English speaking families with teenagers.

Do you think our dream could come true or are we lost on a distant planet like the famous Little Prince? Hope not too far from London or UK.

Hope this message will suit someone willing to broaden their horizons or please put me in touch with any neighbours or friends or family,

in a word anyone you think might be interested.

Here is the end of my message for today. I wish you a happy reading, hoping for a happy ending for both you and us.

Looking forward to hearing from you, thank you in advance,

Sincerely,

Pascale L’Heudé

If this interests you please contact me for the personal email reply address. It is now May so perhaps a little late this year for some people, however, if unsuccesful this year I am sure they would like to hear from someone with the possibility of an exchange at a future date.
