France is still the most popular country looking for an international link.

Today, we have received the following request

I have just registered on you twinning website. I am a councillor in Tocane St Apre in southwest France and have been asked by our Mayor to make enquiries about twinning. Could you give me some help as to how I should go about finding a town/village comparable to the size of ours? I had thought of Cornwall, Devon or Cumbria as Tocane is a small (population1500), rural community.
